Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my permanent brows last?

This varies from person to person and depends upon age, skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Fading will occur over time and it is recommended you have a colour boost to keep your brows looking their best. Brows should be faded 40-60% when you come for your colour boost.

Does it hurt?

This does vary from client to client as everyone pain tolerance is different. Some clients may find it slightly uncomfortable while others fall asleep!

Is Permanent Makeup Safe?

All of my equipment is sterile and single use, adhering to strict hygiene standards. All needles and blades are disposed of after use. A scratch test is performed during the consultation to ensure no allergic reaction will occur. My self and my premises are certified by the Local Authority.

How long will the appointment take?

Appointments are booked in for 2 hours. Included in the appointment is a thorough consultation, scratch test, colour match, brow mapping, treatment and aftercare instructions. The treatment will not start until both client and artist are 100% satisfied with the brow mapping.

How long will it take to heal?

Everyone is different but the full healing is expected within 4 weeks. Day 7-14 you can expect some flaking. Once the flakes have naturally come off you can expect the pigment to be very faded, this will gradually return over the next week or 2.

How many treatments will I need?

Permanent brows are generally a 2 step procedure. A perfecting top up can be done 6-8 weeks after the initial treatment. Not all clients will need this if the retention is good and no adjustments need to be made.

Can anyone have permanent makeup?

A full consultation will be carried out prior to booking to check for contraindications. You must be over 18, in good health and not pregnant or breastfeeding. If in any doubt, please enquire.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

My treatment room is located on the grounds of a domestic property. As a result it is quite cosy and unfortunately I do not have a waiting room. Friends are welcome to wait in their vehicles or there is lovely pub just around the corner!
